Our problem is that we are flooded with highly processed, hyper-palatable, energy-dense, nutrient-dilute, glow-in-the-dark, bet-you-can't-just-eat-one kind of foods. I call them non-foods because they provide no nutrients to our body.
The constant flow of marketing encourages us and our children to eat the very foods that propel us towards obesity, diabetes, allergies, asthma, attention deficit disorders, and other chronic diseases. And on top of that, the ever-evolving technological gadgets replace activities we used to do at work and at play.
